I was having cold start issues with my Jetta. I cleaned up the warm up regulator and removed the screens as they were clogged.Currently running the car without the screens. Any idea if this is a bad idea?
Thank you

Couldn't you just clean the screens, reinstall, and run it as intended?

The screens broke in the process and are no longer functional
