Anyone have any experience with the single down draft Webber carb conversion for the 1.8l 8v ?  Sick of messing with the mechanical injection system.

Probably more work to set up and get running than it would be to just troubleshoot and fix the CIS

But ito stay on topic.... Buy Weber carb kit, fuel pump and MSD ignition box and have at 'er

Been trouble shooting the cis and it's just been a nightmare. Not to mention the hassle of hard to find parts.

You could always convert it to digifant? With the exception of a fuel rail everything is pretty cheap.

I'd go carbs with an aggressive cam if you only summer drive it and price isn't an issue.

Finally got the fuel system issues sorted out just to find out the rings are gone. So I'm rebuilding the 1.8 with head work, cam and I'm ordering a dual Webber setup. It's only a summer car. It'll definitely clean up and simplify the engine bay
