Only costs there would be outsourced contracts for services, salary employees don't count, increasing their workload means nothing but good things to the bottom line  lol

Different plate sequence of numbers, manufacturing costs for new plates for the pressing machines, maybe upgraded software in their system to handle these new plates, and even if you believe its increased workload, that may require hiring some aux or temp employee's to deal with it, paying OT, etc..

At the end of the day, there is a cost involved. You can't just say, "they work for the man and therefore they shouldn't be owed extra $$ because they work for a backwards organization, they are all out to get us, live in a hut, don't talk to people, conspiracy, yadda yadda" LOL

Also, most employee's that work for the government are unionized hourly workers...parks board included ;)

If you just decide to sit down and drink the purple Kool-Aid, that's your choice, but don't believe everything that's fed to you by mainstream media.  There is a lot of good things about BC, and some really horrible things.
Oh for Fuck's sake. Shut up.

Sorry guys, didn't mean to butt hurt you again, its all good, I'll stop -man-splaining things, sometimes I forget to understand the audience before offering a lecture/opinion...I'll be gone in about 18 months, so there's that benefit coming up.

How about those Oilers?

Yeah, it's tough to be so bright and to be surrounded with such dim bulbs hey.  Who would have thought such simple people couldn't see how $50 was going to change their lives and was enough money to be truly concerned about.

You missed the point entirely, and I have never, ever, not even once hinted at it nor would the words pass across my lips that there were any "dim bulbs" on DubberZ.  I also have not stated that $50 will be life changing to people that likely make more in a week then I do in a month, but to some people in the world, including Canada, some in your very City, $50 is a lot of money.  That's a discussion for another day however.

Back to the BC plates... great idea, great program, who cares where the money goes, you get something shiny for it.   I wish all the plates were updated to look neat-O and they just raised the cost of licensing to cover it :-)

Agreed that $50 is a lot for some, no denying that or claiming it's not, but I assume anyone looking to buy these plates is probably not sweating $50 or debating between groceries and new park plates.

I would gladly pay more for cool looking plates. Florida has awesome custom plates.

I wish you could get park plates in vanity versions.

speaking of Vanity plates. I saw a Q7 the other day with XXXXX on the license plate... How does that get passed through?
