Aaron, did I see you having a new crate motor put in the car at Blitzkreig?  What happened?  Guides give out?

Guides were starting to go. Engine had some other "issues", and both things combined made the decision to go with a crate logical for me. Found a great deal on one which was the clincher.

Nice work, that car will be solid for a lot of years to come now.

If you don't mind, what was the breakdown of that motor replacement?

I had a lot of other work performed on top of the swap but the engine re&re itself was standard shop rate at 16 hours labour. I will just leave it at that.

sold the mk3 a few weeks ago and it's always dangerous to have a plate hanging around

scooped up this little E30.

The body is tired, but the interior is clean, and the motor is strong.

not really - i want to get it really sorted mechanically and then see what I can and can't do depending on auto-x classes.

maaaayyyybe some paint - have to decide if I really want it or if this just tides me over until I find a cleaner one.

Very cool!!!

My neighbor has the same car (Diamond Schwarz 318is) sitting beside his house with a blown motor - same clear coat issue on the front hood too, LOL!  I was thinking about picking it up as its 100% complete!  They are getting more and more difficult to find but unfortunately I have too many projects already :P

Fifteen52 Tarmacs. They can do custom offsets with their cast wheels. So I am getting 19x9.5 et5.
