Pictures to share

Hello New member sharing some project pics.  Latest  project an 88 vanagon with a BEW TDI 6spd Auto.  Rear gate has a convex tinted lift glass on hatch.  Jetta hood sunscreen. I never seen this done before but wanted to keep the engine/ trans together as was in the front of the jetta. You cant turn the engine or you would have 6 speeds in reverse. So came up with the plan to to run in front of the axle and why not use the original motor mounts also. Even the engine  torque mount is used as the x member which holds the steering rack ( not used) is utilized. Notice the frame rails ending where the front bumper hangs on to! The Jetta floor firewall finishes off the now trunk which the x member is bolted to. Dual exaust splits and comes out where the rack was finished with Harley exhaust mufflers.

Love the idea of the BEW, not so much the Automatic.

I was wondering how you got the engine to run upside down at first...

Last picture is upside down. Not the way I sent.  It's a pic of TDI setup from view of sliding door.

Man. I am jealous. That's a nice collection you have there. What's the status of your latest project?
