Project Coupe 3.0
« on: May 29, 17, 22:51 »
In the theme of bringing back build threads, I'll throw one up

Most of you know I've been through a few mk2's, gone to other cars and now I'm back with another mk2

I keep collecting parts off each car for the next one, so I have quite the pile already started for this.

It will probably end up close to this one just further along the line to being "finished"

Won't have many pictures of the project yet since it just started and is just a pile of parts so far

The new car: 1991 Jetta Coupe
Around 200k miles on it
Imported from California
California Digi 1
Came with recaros, cupkit, roof rack, gli spoiler, tint, Momo wheel, and an old alpine deck

Work done so far:
Exhaust was falling off, got that replaced with a 2.5" borla and threw my header on
Shift knob and boot
Refinished my wheels and got new tires
Momo wheel with quick release hub

Parts waiting to go on:
GTI door cards, black interior pieces, red stripe dash, crosshair single rounds, 7 slat grill, new badges, antenna delete, red stitched ebrake boot, 6 speakers, Bluetooth deck, subs and amp, flair trunk carpet, h&r sway bars, Eurosport strut bars, 11" wilwood calipers, mk4 rear brakes, tt control arm bushings, poly rear beam bushings, euro tub, euro tails, votex console, airdynamik struts, accuair elevel, idf drop plates, and a bunch of maintenance items

Couple pieces will be getting dropped off for paint and upholstery work shortly as well

I will update with more pictures once more gets put on the car

Awesome!!! :) I too find swaybars to be among the best upgrades for handling!
