Engine shut down concern. Any ideas?
« on: Nov 29, 17, 07:57 »
Has anyone run into the engine shutting down when the fuel tank hits 1/4 fuel remaining?
- Fuel pump has been changed and still the same concern.
- Using the odometer verify's the tank is not empty as well.
- All electrics work when this happens. driving on flat ground, straight line, and 50 km/hr.
- 2003 Jetta 1.8T
Any idea's?

So if you add fuel it fires right back up? How many km are you getting before it dies? Possible thereís a crack in the fuel housing or line and itís sucking it air. Any codes? Have you opened the tank up to see if it has fuel or not?
