1.6TD Intake Manifold

The stock intake manifold on the 1.6TD is heavily biased towards the middle two cylinders.

Is there an aftermarket one available that distributes the intake air more evenly across the cylinders? 
I'm worried that the middle two cylinders will see excessive EGTs from being much more lean than cylinders 1 and 4.

it is a diesel, lean = cooler EGT

Also, with forced induction and no throttle plate I think you do not need to worry much about air volume mismatch between cylinders.

Oh I see, so cylinders #1 and #4 would be the ones running hotter from less air!

Not at all. With forced induction (turbo in your case), all the cylinders will be fed equally. Also, in a diesel, less air in the fuel mixture means cooler EGT (opposite of a gasoline engine).

You say less air (rich) = cooler [gasoline rich fuel mixtures are used to lower temps, so this is not the opposite at all!]

Which one is true? :O

I think leeg is correct on this one!

They're both saying the same thing. There's nothing wrong with the stock intake, it does not distribute air perfectly equally, but it doesn't matter until well over double the stock power output.

These are moot points though since without a serious build and compounding the intake manifold won't be a concern. At that point you'd probably be swapping to a 1.9 head anyway since they lower compression and flow better. I'd start with a T3/k24 with an intercooler and some pump mods if you want to go down that road.

What...who said I don't have those plans hahaha!  I am just asking where to get the intake manifold.  I guess no one knows, no problem!
