LF: 8mm fuel union
« on: Jun 27, 18, 17:11 »
Hey there

Looking for an 8mm fuel union. Just 1. Turns out these things arenít as available as I would  have hoped. Looks like closest is the UK and itís a speciality item. If anybody has any kicking around on a spare part that was just easier to snip the line than undo, or if maybe you have a parts car (mk1, cabby, maybe mk2 not sure) let me know cheers.

These unforeseen hold ups are killing my drive to get this thing passed for inspection and moving to dropping my 16v in. Any potential info is well received.

Added some photos of what the part is more specifically.

Cheers

Have you tried an industrial fittings house like newline? They usually seem pretty good for metric fittings.

Tried VM. Chris was saying that that type of hardware wasnít in the VW parts catalogue, and so he couldnít source it.

Awesome. Thanks for the info. I did find a Uk firm that had them in stock, but it was $10 for the 3 unions, and $40 for shipping.... Glad I dinít complete that transaction.

Cheers!

That part # is an air-cooled part. On 25hp and 36hp fuel lines. Check on the Airspeed site, somebody must be parting an old engine.

Edit: Stephan Schmidt is parting an engine.  Check it:  http://www.airspeedparts.com/forums/index.php?topic=26556.0

I may have one. I've kept a bunch of CIS fittings from old cars. I'll check and let you know

It's closer than UK

This is what split window guys go through. They'll stand on top of oval parts to reach their split parts.
