Hi all, I have a 99 GTI vr6 I recently got for a good price due to engine noise. Was still running, but poorly.
Turns out the previous owner didn't torque the camshaft bearing caps properly and as a result the exhaust cam has broken in two.
I'm having trouble finding a replacement anywhere. I'm hoping someone might have an old parts motor they are willing to part with, or anyone knows where I might find a camshaft.
Trying to avoid spending $500 or more on a set of performance cams, and just get this girl running again.
