Brake fluid looks ugly so I'm going to tackle it with a buddy pumping the pedal.  Got some DOT4, PB blaster for the bleeder screws.  Used a MityVac to suck what I could out of the reservoir first.  Noticed another smaller yellow cap on top of the reservoir that I unscrewed with a blade screwdriver. Underneath was a couple of little "nipples". Stuck the vacuum on those and sucked out some more really black looking stuff.  Topped off the reservoir with new DOT4 and ready to tackle the bleeder screws.

Anybody know what the purpose of that second cap with the two nipples is?  Haven't seen it on any other VW.
