I have always owned a VW of some sort, whether it was in the garage, a project, or my daily. Before moving here to the island I owned a Mk4 Jetta Wagon that I had highly modified. But.. I had to sell it before the move. TOO many wheels no the road. After Buying the house I bought a Mk6 GLI.. REAL nice car with all the goodies. But It was lacking... I needed more functional space, I needed a wagon again. So.. down to VW Victoria I go... now.. they know me very well down there.. They seem to think I will buy a car every time I visit.. So.. after a few road tests, and some tweaking of what I needed I ended up with a 2017 SportWagen... and I hope to chronicle the evolution of this car, and how much I will enjoy it.

I hope to inspire others here to learn to love the wagons.

Dyno sheets:

First Dyno Day:

Highlighted lines are the first run of the day. IAT was ultra High, like 150f, so it killed these runs.

It is an awesome ride, a THOUSAND times better then my MK4 Wagon for sure.

So far its only been minor things that I have had to deal with, as I am a perfectionist...

I have to find the RIGHT rims, RIGHT front lip.. and Im importing a Golf R Estate rear bumper... as there is nothing for the GSW rear end.

Do you have a link for how to retrofit the drive mode select?

What I had to do what Buy the switch pack and wiring harness from EBay (VW Canada does NOT sell the Retrofit kit, its an EU only kit), I am now waiting on "A Friend" to get me the FEC Enabling code to do the SWAP setup using ODIS.

I will give you Part #'s and a better description once I get it perfect. :)

Stock shocks, the ride is REALLY good. From what I understand, the ED Springs are shorter, slightly stiffer, but.. in doing that and a progressive rate, they are comparable to the R Springs. So, its a great ride, but also fun on the twists of Sooke road.. .Luckily.. I live in Sooke and work in Esquimalt. so I get to do it EVERY DAY.

There is more to come later this weekend, and next week.

I have the Votex lip, and skirts in paint, and the Maxton skirts to go on them.

Last night I installed the R Estate Spoiler Extension.. Its pretty sexy, and NOT too much. Its JUST enough.

Should I put up my build list with part #'s and Where I sourced them?
