This should be a no brainer, but...

what are people running these days in P215-40-18

Getting a smoking deal on 453's, might as well try them out

I ran the 453's on my R32 last year.  Ended up selling the car 8 months later, but I was impressed with the tires; decent grip, low noise, good in rain, no random sidewall bulge challenges like the old 452's (in my short time running them) and a good looking, more euro tread pattern vs. the S-drives.  You can't beat the value in my opinion, although not sure how the tread life is; heard they wear down faster than their treadwear rating would suggest.....

Yokohama S-drive are probably a better overall tire in terms of quality and expected life, but more $$ and a little less "euro" looking in terms of the tread pattern.

Just put a pair of S drives on the front of my Ghia as they were the only 195/40/16s I could find. Did the trick no rubbing, looking forward to see how they perform. 205/50/16 extreme contacts on the back.

I run S-drives in a 195/40/16s on my Dynatechs and the older 452's in a 205/40/17s on my Th-Lines. Of course the rears are stretched to the max  on 9s for both. I ended up finding one of the last local sets of 452s cause I was unsure how the 453s would stretch.

John report back how you find the 453, post up some pics of the wheel and tire combo
