Rim fit on Mk2 Jetta

Question: Has anyone heard of a 4x100 steel rim not fitting on a MkIII Jetta because the center hole on the rim is too small (or car hub-nub too big)? Would I have the same probleme on my MkII? Thinking of buying the tires but I live kinda far just to check it out.

the only reason you'd have that problem is because the steelies may be from a honda. they have a 56.1 center bore and vw's have 57.1
