new tires need some advice
« on: February 17, 2008, 07:53:31 PM »
Well its time to get some new summer/all seasons.
I am thinking of getting the following:
kumho ecsta spt 195/45-15

Hankook Ventus H405 195/50-15

Sumitomo HTR200

If anyone can think of more 195/45-15 or 50-15's that are good for the rain and dry
please give me your comments.

cheers

whatever you get, get z rated. not for the speed, for the stiffer sidewall.  Better handling.

W/Y/(Y) are higher ratings.  My 195/45/R15 T1R's are V-rated (149mph), sidewalls are stiff enough to take whatever I can toss at them.
