I like how the add says it has lighter Euro bumpers when it's clearly wearing stock North American bumpers

6 out of the last 7 on Bring A Trailer have been Red and 3 of the last 7 have been from Victoria, also all red.

And it's already at $42,000 USD.

This car will go for over $50,000 USD I feel.  If it goes much more then that then I'm an idiot for hanging onto mine.

Time to cash out

Beautiful example of a well maintained Ur Quattro ... it finally sold for $43,000 US which translates to about $56,000 CDN!!!

I recently received my Letter of Origin from Audi USA which states that my vehicle was made for the US market.

Thus ... if I ever decide to sell mine and the buyer is from the US ... they won't have to pay any duty on it.

You probably cannot sell your car to the USA because of the rebuilt status.  The USA is not accepting rebuilt cars across the border from Canada.

I have purchased a few rebuildable vehicles from Copart over the last decade or two mainly because the prices were better than what I could get from ICBC and there was a time when we were close to being at par.

A few of these were sold back to customers in Washington.

Anyway ... I'm enjoying mine and more importantly, keeping everything in original condition.

I also love adding to the collection of memorabilia that I have acquired over the years ... everything from:

o scale model of the UR Quattro in white (like mine)
o scale model of the rally Ur Quattro driven by Mikkola
o signed photograph of the Ur Quattro driven by Mikkola ... with letter of authenticity
o Hot Wheels release of the Ur Quattro in its original box (both in near mint condition) ... and maybe rarer than the car itself
o almost complete collection of the Autosport magazine's (rally magazine's) from the 80's
o numerous original copies of brochures for the Ur Quattro
o numerous copies of repair guides and leaflets about for the Ur Quattro
o numerous books on the Ur Quattro itself ... and others on the history of the Quattro design
o numerous original (and complete) magazines featuring the Ur Quattro (some from North America and some from the UK)
o original article from the Province newspaper listing the Ur Quattro as a desirable and collectible vehicle

What can I say ... I love my car  :toothy:
