Oh it runs just fine lol, just doesn't roll on its own  :P
Gears are coming from Montreal, and should be here Monday, if not it will be Tuesday. Apparently I got the last 3rd gear in Canada and they are on back-order in Japan until September at the earliest. Another option would be to get them from the states but it would have taken at least another 2 weeks, I would have had a hassle returning them if they were wrong (not to mention another month of waiting), And I wouldn't have got a discount.

Bored today. I think I may have found the wheels if I go for the "race" look.
Price is breakin' my balls though lol.

Or the LM20's for the "baller"/"hard-parker" look

What's the price and specs on those volks?
Those are amazing looking wheels, that finish looks like stainless steel!???!?

Specs I might go with would be 18x10s or I might stay in the 17x9s.
Price depends but it would probably be about $3500-$4000 with tires.
Not terrible but getting up there.

Gears came today. I'll post pics when I get home of what a $1300 trans piece looks like.

So, I got the rest of the parts needed to put the S back together again. Here's a few pics.
Apparently I didn't take any pics of the broken shifter or the shift knob yet OR the new short shifter and knob.

Here's a pic of the trans before it all came apart.

New bearings, nuts, and seals for good measure.

Old 2nd gear set and 3rd gear set and their new replacements.

2nd gear set with broken ear.

Syncro ring off the gear.

Old vs. new... The reason for the tear down. The only thing broken in the trans and the only thing needed.

And this is what you have to buy to get that little piece... The whole gear set with 1st and 2nd syncro rings.

And this is 3rd and 4th gear set with syncro rings. What $1365 retail looks like.

So I stayed for a bit and got all the new pieces in. Got tired and needed a couple more hands.
Hoping I can get the case all put back together tomorrow and have her on the road by the weekend.

Enkei RPF1's - staggered offsets.  IMO they look great, are 1/2 the price and weight of those other boat anchors!

I don't like those wheels. Too many around.
And a quick search this morning found me
- Enkie RPF1 15x7 = 9.5lbs
- Volk TE37 15x7 = 9lbs
and the pictured limited edition TE37SL are 1lb lighter than the TE37.....

Thanks Jess. Should be driving by the weekend. We'll have to get a shoot soon with Dean's.
And then your mk2 and the Corrado

Yeahhhh buddy. That's the one I was peepin. I was talking to him on S2Ki those are the 18x10s. I love that. I have no problem doing body work for the fenders, but Im not too sure about running camber like that. Don't wanna be running through tires all day long.

Camber doesn't ruin tires, toe does. Anyone who runs through tires after dialing in camber is more because they didn't throw it on an alignment rack to make sure the toe wasn't out.  To a certain degree, that is.

This and run some Nitto NeoGens.
DAS. Expect nothing less.

What are you driving now that this car is down?

I do not think toe would save the car pictured above.

That yellow s2k can't be running any more than ~-4* in the rear, which is not all that much compared to some people out there.
