X2 on mk4 rear calipers. Also, I'm not sure what the stock rear track is on a golf, but when I syncro swapped my fwd b3 Passat, the syncro rear control arms made the rear track decreased about 15mm per side. Make sure you get syncro coilovers, fwd one swill be waaaay too high in the rear.

The car Im looking at tonight has some sort of big break kit on it all around. NOT that it will swap over or anything, but in the fronts it may work out.

As for the MK4 calipers.. I 100% agree, I dont like having to replace the calipers EVERY 5-6 years because its rock solid.

I do have 3 G60's, and a 16v... i was thinking of doing THAT.. but... Do I really want to go THAT route?

Brake, not break. Brakes stop you from breaking the car. ;)

Sorry for my improper use of the work break vs brake.

rear track is already so narrow on a mk2. You can make stub axle spacers to fill in the massive gap.

Stub axle spacers yes, but not on a Syncro system. I have to use wheel spacers.
