i got the coils in, haven't got any good pictures yet. i will probably be lifting it back up for winter anyways.

i was also hoping to get some opinions on wheels, i am toying with the idea of going three piece, but like everything its cost dependant.

looking for ideas for 18" preferably 5x112 so i wont need adapters.

i would say price range is around 2000$

looking excited to get crackin on this thing

i understood all risks involved in buying one of these.

being the 3rd own plus low km's plus i drive minimal km's a year (11000 ish km's) i should be able to handle it. also lucky for me this car was meticulously maintained and the amount of parts or problems fixed under warranty should surely help.

and yes complete blast to drive and look forward to owning it and fixing it!

I think first thing you should do is timing belt and water pump if its not done. Then save up for turbos and pray that your CCT doesn't fail. Also if you can't or do not have a room to work, then labour is not cheap to swap the turbos out.

Both were done at 110xxx km. might do the turbos when i get my tax return. Because i drive so little i feel i am at an advantage with part longevity

Alright so i have been tinkering away with this thing over the past little while.

I put the coilovers in, and had a really bad audible squeak at low speeds and it was bouncy as hell.
Last night i took some time to check to see what was causing the noise, in my a4 the control arms were toast and made a similar
noise. Luckily i found that with st coils the bump stop has a boot on the bottom of it, that boot rubs with the boot on the stock
strut mount. That was the cause of the noise so i got that all sorted out and removed.

I also dug around the car a bit more,

first aid kit has never been opened
tool box in the trunk is complete and looks like it has never been used.

Loving the car so far and can't wait to make it a bit louder  ;) ;)

I am also trying to figure out some ideas for wheels, feel free to post some ideas!
i have a few things in mind, or a criteria at least.

-18x8/8.5 front and 18x9/9.5 rears
-et 30 ish
-3 piece

i will be buying used with a budget around 2000$

these are are two of the front runners,

start looking around Audizine for some used stage 3 parts like Maf housing, inlet pipe, injectors and software, cuz turbos alone will cost you around $2500usd.
