B5 A4 Window Issue
« on: Jun 03, 14, 15:37 »
I've noticed once in a while my drivers window sags a bit near the rear.  If I power it up all the way it won't go and have about a 3-4mm gap.  I have to use my hands to push it up.  But then it will work fine for a week or so...  Would this be related to the regulator or other linkage in the door?  I'm unfamiliar with audi windows and before I open it up want to have a bit of an idea of what I'm looking for.

What would be the best way to solve this?  It's been working properly now for a few days.  Should I just leave it be for now until it does it again?  Who knows maybe it fixed itself...

You gotta take it apart. The alignment adjustment should be where the regulator clamps to the window itself. If it's like the newer cars you gotta take it right out unless you have amazingly small hands. In which case I'll give you beer to come adjust the window in my Avant.
