Best way to check options on a used S4?
« on: Mar 22, 16, 14:43 »
I'm looking for a used B8 S4, and it's important to me it has the sport differential and Audi Drive Select.

What's the best way to check the options list on a car based on the VIN? Are dealerships willing to disclose this information, or is there a website somewhere?

Thank you - I took a look at the site, but it doesn't show vehicle specific options.

Yes if you give your VIN to the dealer, they can print off the complete vehicle build sheet. Or get a pic off the build sticker that's in the trunk and decode the PR codes yourself.

If you have a drive select button on the centre stack below the media console it will have at least the sport diff... If you go in to the vehicle settings in the MMI it will have suspension setting options and of course this means drive select.

If you plan on doing suspension or anything to the car the sport differential should be good enough as that will still allow adjustments just not obviously for suspension
