BBS WHEEL INFO
« on: May 21, 19, 12:05 »
So my '91 G60 was originally purchased in Germany.
The rims that came on it are the original ones.
A friend also has a '90 G60.
His came with 15" BBS rims but have hardware bolts all around the lips.
Mine are a one-piece.

Reaching out to you knowledgeable guys here that could provide me with info.
Actual name for them (RZ, RS, RM or otherwise).
Specs, ET and anything else you know.

Also been considering having them restored and wondered if anyone can refer me to someone who does great work.
Would at least like to re-spray the dimple rings, unsure if powdercoating would change how they'd snap into the centre cap piece.

Thanks in advance to all those who can offer info.

Your wheels are an RZ ( 1 piece) your friends wheels sound like an RM (2 piece) or an RS (3 Piece)

Thank you SOO much Corradokid!
Greatly appreciated.

Would you know of anyone good to have them brought in to have them looking new?

If your friends wheels have the same dimpled center caps they are 2-piece RMís if the weave from the spoke continues into the caps they are 3-piece RSís

also if you pop the cap off of the wheel all the info you need is cast into it around the bolt holes (model, et, width)

I think Panther and Greens are the options for wheel refinishing. Someone from the lower mainland may know more though.

Props to AirCooledRules, Jesse and Corradokid.  :admire:

Thank you so much guys!

Drove my buddy down to pickup his '90 G60 from my mechanic buddy in Richmond yesterday.
Red and black G60s tearing up to Whistler from Richmond together was so fun!
Lots of fun honks from others we drove past.
Was such a great day for the drive  :yippie:
